Self-Introduction
If you are looking for a very relaxing "Amami-local experiences" (such as drinking over the great sunset, walking through the woods with delicious luncheon for example), I will be your guide.
Born in Tokyo, studied in USA and CANADA, and traveled through Europe. Love to paint, farm and eat organic food. Knows good cafes, bars and restaurants in Amami.
Tour examples
"Be like an Amami Local" tour
Sightseeing in Ukenson Village. Great hand drip coffee in a cozy cafe, watch the great sunset, meet local people, and finish the day with Amami style dinner.
"Amami Organic Food Tour"
Visit local brown sugar farmer and let's make sugar together. Have Amami style lunch at a nice cozy restaurant.
Orange piking! Let's harvest organic Amami oranges. (Ponkan, Red orange, Tankan...varies according to the season.) Enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice, lunch box in the orange garden. (November - March.)
Both are possibly (depends on your schedule) followed by walk on the Honohoshi beach and shopping in selected stores in Setouchi area.

"Naze city + more"
Go to the best bakery in the Amami Ohshima and taste the heavenly croissant. (I visited Paris and ate croissants, and they were good, yet this bakery still beats.) Followed by visiting a cozy cafe, local craft stores, and good local restaurants. (Organic Italian restaurant with Amami twist / Amami Tofu / Seafood... you name it.) Walk on the beach or visit Amami Nature Observation Center to ease your stomach.
"Mysterious North"
Want to experience something different? Hidden shrines, unvisited observatory with panoramic ocean view where nobody is around. Visit "Yuta" (Amami Sharman, fortune teller) to give you some spiritual life advises. (I will do the translation.)
Cost: 20,000 JPY per group (up to 3 people), per day. Pickup and driving to your hotel is possible. If you are traveling alone and low budget, the discount is possible. If you are not sure what to do in Amami, we can make some plans together : ). My tour is perfect for those who have time but not so excited for typical sightseeing.
